..here is the output of `id':
uid=1000(lars) gid=1000(lars) groups=4(adm),20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),30(dip),44(video),46(plugdev),109(lpadmin),111(scanner),114(admin),115(fuse),1000(lars)

I've manually changed the permissions on all cd-burning-tools I could
find. Like for instance cdrecord cdrdao etc.. I think I also had to
change the permissions of /dev/cdrom and/or similar.

Stuff works now. A bit curious if this really is necessary on a fresh
install, or what could have changed the permissions here.
