The bug still exists with version 1.0.4-2ubuntu1-gutsy1, at least for
me.

Verify doesn't start because the tray does not retract, and manually
closing it doesn't help.

I too had no problems until Gutsy (7.10) "final" release.  I was running
the 7.10 beta initially, and the problem didn't exist then.

The problem started after I upgraded to the current 7.10 release files via update-manager.
(FYI: I installed the 7.10 beta over the 7.04 version using the gksu/update-manager method.)

No errors in the log files, etc.

Maybe this version is the "Faith-Based" release.  ;-)
