[Bug 75153] k3b starts up after a very long time

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: k3b

When I try to start k3b, I get the starting "matlab" logo (weird...) jumps again and again for something like 10 mins. (Matlab is also installed). Then k3b starts. But I have to wait 10 mins.
This is on Ubuntu Edgy. (I had the exact same problem on Ubuntu Dapper).
