Bugs regarding update status

When running unity in the "Log Out" menu there is information about
package updates, your system's status and whether or not you need to
reboot.  There is at least one bug about this[1] regarding
indicator-session which provides that functionality.  However, I suspect
that these bugs may be incorrectly filed about update-manager and or
update-notifier.  If you happen to run across one please mark it as a
duplicate.
