Error with Unity and classic Gnome

The next release (Oneiric) uses Unity 2D as a fallback option and Unity 
3D by default. So in the current preview releases for Oneiric (which I 
am using) GNOME 2 is not installed, and Unity is based on GNOME 3 rather 
than GNOME 2.
