Thanks for picking this up!
I'm against the use of a wiki page as experience has showed that
duplicating content by copying bug information to a wiki page doesn't
work; people simply won't do it. For Application Indicator support we
have used tags and we will use them for Global Menu support. I would
suggest to use them for Apport hooks as well.
A while ago I heard something about Launchpad developers working on a
tag subscription feature. Not sure what happened to that, but maybe
it's worth checking with them to see if it's still planned.
