server USB installer cd-rom not detected

Dear debuggers,

Related Bug #234185Fixed

One of the official installation methods of installing Ubuntu 10.10 
server does not work. Tried on multiple different machines bug in both 
i386 and AMD64 versions. The kernel option 'cdrom-detect/try-usb=true' 
does not have desired effect.
