So it would be worthwhile to try and find out if the same bug is reported in reported in Launchpad[1] or to report a new bug and add an upstream bug watch[2] for that Gnome bug. Since days I am trying to set up a Baycom serial 1k2 modem. It receives perfectly, the transmission sounds ok. But no station can "read" my packets - they are simply ignored by the node, obviously they are trash. I looked around by Google and found out that there was a problem with the checksum on sending a packet. Has this been updated in the meanwhile? The equipment I use is intact, because I tried with a DOS laptop that connected to the node immediately. By the way, the DOS laptop cannot read the transmitted packets either. This bug concerns the drivers baycom_ser_fdx and baycom_ser_hdx in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (all updates have been done). thanks in advance. Message-ID: <511f47f50901170451s477cd933xffdbf5d3190660ee@mail.gmail.com> Hi all, I am on jaunty. Previously had sound issues with rhythmbox. 1. Reported it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/317537 2. Debugging it came across another problem that I'm unable to install gstreamer0.10-alsa-dbgsym as well as gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio-dbgsym . If I install either of them then I have to take out gnome-dbg which is a necessity of ubuntu-bug. Both the above files have only -dbgsym files and not -dbg files Hence had to file another bug for the same. This time have put it as a bug of apport. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/318081 Please lemme know if I'm doing something wrong or the other. >From my limited understanding it seems that bug 2 needs to be fixed in some way then only I can give some info. for bug 1.
