Unlinked Bug Watches

Earlier today I was talking to Sense Hofstede on IRC and he'd asked me
about how I came up with the bug day list for April 1st[0]. This was
basically a one off query that I ran to find bug reports with an
unlinked bug watch. By unlinked I mean an Ubuntu bug report that has
a comment referring to an upstream bug tracking system, but no upstream
bug task exists for the Ubuntu bug report. This could happen because
someone doesn't know how to add a bug watch or they are not positive a
bug in another bug tracking system is the same as their bug.
Regardless, we are not getting the full benefit of Launchpad
(notifications of upstream bug status changes) if the relevant upstream
bug report is not added as a bug task.

So I wrote a report[1] that lists these bug reports and the bug tracker
mentioned in the comment. The report only looks at New, Incomplete,
Confirmed and Triaged bugs with bug trackers mentioned in a comment and
not added as an upstream task. The report is updated daily.

Instead of reading every comment to find the bug watch you can look in
the "Remote bug watches" applet on the left hand side of the bug report
to determine which bug tracker is mentioned. In the event that remote
bug reference is wrong it is possible to remove the watch by clicking on
the pencil next to it in the applet and then click "Delete Bug Watch".
This will remove it from my report and from
https://launchpad.net/bugs/bugtrackers/ .
