Hello everyone, I am emailing about the creation of the Adopt a Package
idea. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad/AdoptPackage . I recently adopted a
package with another member of the Chicago LoCo, we tackled the package. We
closed the ones that we felt needed closing, commented on some, triaged them
in general etc. Then I got to thinking, what exactly does adopting a package
mean? I ask this because while I believe we must create a few guidelines for
adopting a package. I propose the following.
* Send the appropriate bugs upstream
* Triage the bugs appropriately
* Assist in writing documentation on their package (although maybe not as
we are a Bug Squad )
* ...and more ideas.
Which is where YOU come in. /me points at you. No, not you, the person next
to you....yes you. What do you think adopting a package mean?
Cheers,
