[Ubuntu-BR] problemas ao montar hd externo

estou tentando montar um hd externo com case e ele esta dando a seguinte mensagem de erro a partição dele é gtp

       missing codepage or helper program, or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so
