[Ubuntu-BR] Como aumentar a Resolução de Video no Ubuntu 10.04

Quase :)
Executei os seguintes comandos :
xrandr --newmode "1280x1024_60.00" 109.00 1280 1368 1496 1712 1024
1027 1034 1063 -hsync +vsync
depois adicionar como suportada pelo monitor
xrandr --addmode "VGA1" "1280x1024_60.00"
testar
gnome-display-properties
Então apareceu a opção 1280x1024 e aceitou a mudança.
Porém, quando reinicio, volta como estava antes.
O meu xorg.conf está listado abaixo :
