[Ubuntu-BR] Ubuntu 8.10 sem som - AJUDA POR FAVOR

Olá,

  Fui em preferências -> som e coloquei tudo em alsa, porém não houve
resposta nenhuma, o mais interessante é que quando se coloca para testar ele
simplesmente testa como se o som estivesse saindo, mas não está, porém
quando se pede para ele testar o microfone ai o sistema envia uma mensagem
de erro.

O meu som sai pelo monitor, talvez o ubuntu 8.10 não tenha os drives de som
para o meu monitor como o 8.04, meu monitor é "TV LG Flatron L173SA", dei
uma pesquisada mas não achei nada a que resolvesse o problema..talvez seja
mesmo porque a ideia é ridícula..=/
Dei uma olhada no google, porém não consegui ainda nada, POR FAVOR DE
VERDADE ME AJUDEM,
