[Ubuntu-BR] Recomendação de compra [ERA: Aceleração gráfica no Ubuntu 7.10

Caros colegas de lista,

Tenho um último questionamento sobre a placa que pretendo comprar.
Já pesquisei sobre compatibilidade com GNU/Linux, sobre eficiência,
mas tenho uma pequena dúvida: se a placa de vídeo tem processamento
64bits, minha placa mãe tem q suportar 64bits tb, ou basta ser agp8x
(pois não sei se meu hardware é 32 ou 64 bits).

Conclusão: embora eu entenda que o processador pareça 64bits, não sei
se a placa suporta o processamento deste e do GPU. Alguém ajuda?
