Uma pergunta que ainda não te fiz: qual o aplicativo que vc está usando para 
navegar nos micros da rede?
Nautilus?

Interessante, eu consigo montar um volume compartilhado em um micro
WINDOWS manualmente, fiz isso:

$sudo smbmount //GUSTAVO-PC/Jogos /mnt/jogos

E o volume foi montado normalmente!

Ou seja, parece estar tudo bem com meu samba.conf, afinal, todos
micros windows podem me acessar e posso montar volumes deles
manualmente, o negócio é fazer aparecer a rede em Locais > Rede, ficar
montando tudo manualmente eh osso neh, ainda mais dependendo de quem
for usar o micro, vai ser pouco pra ficar xingando o linux¬¬
