[Ubuntu-BR] ubuntu dapper e placa de som intel

olá, estou com um problema com a minha instalação do ubuntu. uso o dapper
(apesar de ainda ser uma versão em desenvolvimento) pois ele funcionou de
primeira muito melhor no meu hardware do que o breezy. apesar disso ainda
estou enfrentando um probleminha chato. apesar dele detectar corretamente a
minha placa de som e as caixinhas funcionarem numa boa, não consigo gravar
som nenhum com o microfone.

tentei instalar o debian testing e o microfone funcionou na boa. parece ser
problema mesmo do ubuntu, achei inclusive um pedido de suporte no launchpad
relatando o mesmo problema que estou enfrentando (
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+ticket/800), mas até agora ninguém
respondeu nada por lá. alguém aqui da comunidade passou pelo mesmo problema
e encontrou alguma solução? alguma idéia do que posso fazer para colocar o
microfone para funcionar? abaixo mando algumas saídas que acredito podem ser
úteis, se tiver mais alguma por favor me dêem um toque que eu envio. muito
