Not quite sure what's gone wrong, but these are the relevant messages
from the journal log:

sep 15 21:39:42 hostname systemd[1]: Failed to start Bluetooth service.
sep 15 21:39:42 hostname systemd[1]: bluetooth.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
sep 15 21:39:42 hostname AptDaemon.Worker[21499]: CRITICAL: bluez: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
