I cannot imagine that the car manufactors have to maintain databases of their cars.
There are so many mobile phones coming and leaving the market.
A car manufactor cannot know and maintain them all.
My car from 2011 worked fine with a new Windows Phone from 2014.
I have never heard of a phone database update for my or other cars.
Here it is more a question of ensuring the bluetouth standard behaviour
of our Ubuntu Phones.
