When the OTA 9 was released I tried out the Bluetooth without success. For my profession I need a stable Bluetooth connection in the car. So I reflashed my Aquaris to the latest Android version. As from then the Bluetooth connection is stable and the connection is very quickly established. No software phone crashes anymore.
Now that I am using the Android, I am so pleased, that I will never return to Ubuntu anymore. This for the next reasons:
1. Stability of the OS (Bluetooth).
2. The disponibility of Apps, which I also need for my profession (TouchDown, Axis Installation, …).
3. The Apps all open and operate a lot faster. I should suspect the foothprint of Ubuntuis a lot smaller and should so be faster.
4. After one year of use there was not a lot of evolution in the software. For a new OS I should suspect a lot of changes. Good and bad ones.
5. The Apps in Ubuntu store are so restricted and limited in possibilities that it is not useful and not from this time anymore.
Conclusion: Ubuntu phone has to open his OS so that Android Aps can be used. Make sure the crucial functionalities work fine, otherwise it will die quietly.
