No idea whether this observation is related: For me it actually makes a
difference whether the connection to the handsfree device (Funkwerk Ego
Flash) is initiated by the phone (E 4.5) or the device itself.

When the handfree device connects to the phone, I experience the
symptoms of "no audio" on phone calls as described above.

However,  when the phone initiates the BT pairing, everything works just
smoothly.
