I can confirm that this is fixed in Precise. 
Try:
grep wiimote $(which bluetoothd)
if it gives back:
Binary file /usr/sbin/bluetoothd matches
Bluez has wiimote support.

Now the problem is that not all Nintendo Wii Remote are supported, I
created a new bug report:
