Same problem here. 
Ubuntu 12.04LTS on Toshiba Satellite A300 + Sony CMTHX5BT  -- works fine
Ubuntu 12.04LTS on Lenovo U300s + Sony CMTHX5BT -- Nothing to select after pairing
