I am experiencing this same problem with this Bluetooth dongle i got
from eBay.

this happens on both 11.10 and 12.04 Beta 2(i have on my netbook)

this has to be one of the most bizarre problems...

its intersting how this device is shown on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsBluetoothUsbAdapters
to be working apparntly.

this seems to be the last of dmesg before it froze:

possibly a problem with unity? i will check the status with another DE.
