I found a workaround for my keyboard:
I wrote down the bluetooth device address of my keyboard while using
another pc running Ubuntu 10.10 & paired the keyboard and my notebook
with the command 'bluez-simple-agent hci0 XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX'. After that
my keyboard was listed in the Gnome bluetooth applet and all I had to do
was to klick on 'Connect' – now everything seems to work fine.
As I said before the problem only seems to affect the scanning-process.
** Summary changed:
- Can't find/connect any bluetooth devices after kernel-update (2.6.38-9-generic #43-Ubuntu)
