Same problem here with Ubuntu 10.10. Mouse and keyboard are connected
and working properly.

lsusb: Bus 002 Device 003: ID 046d:c704 Logitech, Inc. diNovo Wireless Desktop
sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth status
 * bluetooth is not running
