Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-bluetooth

Going through the pairing dialog shows the same pin on my phone (a
motorola droid X) as on the gnome-bluetooth dialog, but clicking "pair"
on the phone and "matches" in gnome-bluetooth (in either order) goes
straight to "Setting up 'DROIDX' failed", with no further information.
