I have the same issue with connectivity.  I can pair/connect with
difficulty (see here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/696393) but then I
am unable to stay connected.

Because of the difficulty of my initial connection (repeatedly
adding/removing/entering pins) I've never been sure which pin they were
requesting, so in my case I installed blueman and bluez-compat and used
"sudo hidd --search" to detect the keyboard again when it times out (or
after reboot).
