For what it's worth, this bug seems to affect me too, running LinuxMint
Debian squeeze, and trying to connect via bluetooth to a Nokia N900. If
I run bluetooth-applet from the terminal, I get these messages:

quixote at lark-bunty:~$ bluetooth-applet
