Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-bluetooth

I've got this old USB bluetooth dongle that lsusb shows as

Bus 002 Device 030: ID 0b7a:07d0 Zeevo, Inc. Bluetooth Dongle

sudo hcitool scan discovers my phone successfully. GNOME Bluetooth
applet doesn't. Here's what I do:

1. Plug in USB dongle
2. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the notification area
3. "Set up new device..."
4. "Forward"

What happens:
- after a few seconds it says "No adapters available" (and the Bluetooth icon disappears from the systray), then after a second it starts searching again (and the BT icon reappears).
- if I went into the Bluetooth properties and changed my device name from "ZeevoEmbeddedDevice" to something sane, after such an unsuccessful search I will find that the name reverted back to the default.

What should happen:
- it should show my phone
- it should not forget my device name

Extra info:
dmesg is rather full of repeating messages like

It might be a kernel bug, but for some reason hcitool scan doesn't
trigger it, and gnome-bluetooth does.
