Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bluez

When I go to my Bluetooth Preferences, I see a message that says "Your
computer does not have any Bluetooth adapters plugged in". Previously
in 10.04, I would see my list of Bluetooth devices, Logitech diNovo
Mouse and Keyboard. Strangely, I composed this bug report with my
Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth mouse, without a functioning Bluetooth
subsystem.

When I run command:

    sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth status

It returns:

  * bluetooth is not running

Running command:

   hcitool dev

Returns no devices

I see this is in /var/log/messages:
