Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bluez

As of last week, my Bluetooth devices (1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 1 combo
keyboard and trackpad) were working fine under 9.04. I did some updates
over the weekend but did not notice anything. (Sorry, I don't remember
what packages were in the upgrade; I let apt worry about that.) I
noticed on Monday that my Bluetooth devices were no longer working.

The devices are working properly if I pair them to my Mac, so there are
no flaws in them. For each device, when I push the "connect" button and
activate the "Setup new device" dialog, I can see the device and attempt
to pair with it. For the mouse, it simply pairs after a lengthy
attempt. For the keyboards, it prompts me to enter a PIN on the
keyboard before attempting to pair. In all cases, it usually reports
that the pairing was successful. The device shows up in the known
devices section of Bluetooth Preferences, with the key and blue "I"
icons. However, none of the devices can actually do anything (i.e., no
keyboard or mouse input).

I have verified that the devices are created under /dev/input. However,
they simply don't do anything.

I have tried using the LiveCD with the same failed results, so it would
appear not to be a problem with updates. I *know* these devices were
working on Ubuntu just a few days ago! I have no idea why they are not
now.
