I am seeing this exact same problem with Karmic. I'm using a bluetooth
mouse and an A2DP headset. If I turn the mouse off the audio works
perfectly well. When I turn on the mouse, syslog fills up with lines
like

Nov 6 13:43:00 lenny pulseaudio[2544]: module-bluetooth-device.c:
Skipping 5364 us (= 944 bytes) in audio stream

and the audio is punctuated by long silences.

The mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Presenter 8000, the headset a Jabra
BT620s and the bluetooth adapter is Dell Wireless 360 Bluetooth
(builtin). It doesn't seem to be a hardware related issue as I use the
same hardware in Vista without issue.
