Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bluez

Specs:
ThinkPad X61 (don't know the chipset)
Ubuntu 9.04
bluez 4.32-0ubuntu4
blueproximity 1.2.5-3

After upgrading to Jaunty I've had problem with blueproximity.

Computer starts normally and bluetooth works as expected.
After running blueproximity for awhile (like 10 minutes) system gets extremely slow and laggy.
Top reveals that there is hcitool running and eating all the cpu (like 102%).
I can't kill the hcitool process. I can kill blueproximity, but it doesn't help. Only option is to shut down computer with power button.

This is repeatable (run blueproximity).

I'm happy to provide more information.

** Affects: bluez (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
