I have the complete same problem with a Lenovo Bluetooth Laser Mouse...

And I have the same feeling as Jean-

Had similar problem in 8.10, but got it to work, and sadly forgot what I
did...

Now in 9.04 it doesn't work (did not do upgrade, but reinstall)
