Public bug reported:
If I click "Send files to device", it gives me a file chooser. I select
a file and it gives me a device selection dialog. These should probably
be reversed. I press Connect, and it gives a "File Transfer" window,
with an error. "org.openobex.Error.ConnectionAttemptFailed". It does
not have a retry button; only "Cancel".
When clicking "Browse files on device", it gave me a selection screen
which showed my phone. When I clicked Connect, it disappeared and
nothing happened. It should show an error if it can't connect.
After enabling file sharing in the phone, I tried again. This time,
after pressing Connect, it opens a Nautilus window with an error. Now
if I try to create a file, it gives an error. "Error while creating
file new file. There was an error creating the directory in
obex://[00:12:37:82:DB:47]/. Show more details: Operation not supported
by backend".
So my experience is that Bluetooth is totally broken in Ubuntu.
