There are some regressions in Kubuntu that drive me crazy too, but this
isn't one of them.  There's not much activity here because this bug is a
duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268821, which has been
fixed.

I use my bluetooth mouse quite regularly in Kubuntu 9.04 without issue.
