There are two ways you can use sendto.
1. Right click the applet, select the menu and then navigate to the directory where the file is kept.
2. Navigate to the directory in nautilus itself. Right click the file and select 'Send to ...' and then option Bluetooth (Obex).

In any case your current request is more a usability issue and of type
'Wishlist'.
