And it's not working for me too :
Ubuntu 8.10 (upgraded from Hardy with blueman installed)
I did uninstall blueman and reinstalled the 'standard' bluetooth packages

My symptoms are a bit different : I can scan ans see other devices, but
I can't pair any or transfer files..
