Attempted to pair a new input device. (bt keyboard) and bluetooth-
properties crashed with the following error message:

michaelfavia at lithium:~$ bluetooth-properties
process 11741: arguments to dbus_message_new_method_call() were incorrect, assertion "_dbus_check_is_valid_path (path)" failed in file dbus-message.c line 1074.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.

** ERROR **: Out of memory
aborting...
Aborted (core dumped)

Crash is reproducible and will always happen if you wait to type in the
authorization code when attempting to pair the device.

strace attached. Willing to test anything please advise if helpful.
using hidd a s a workaround until resolved as explained here (#191704)
