I also have Gusty my phone is a sony w810
I found a workaround ;

Following the Configuring the rfcomm device is this link

2.-gksudo gedit /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf

4.-sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart

5.- in gnome-phone-manager I put the /dev/rfcomm0 in the section other
port

and wala

All though in Fedora 8 live cd I do not have to do any of the above and
it works perfect without any errors like the above that I have not clue
what it means because I can send    sms.
