[Ubuntu-be] how do i install ubuntu on a debian pc

Hello!

First of all, congratulations on your descision of giving Ubuntu a go.

Here's what i've done several times in the past. (And it doesn't
include messing about with .exe's)

First of all, grab an iso from the Ubuntu site. (if you haven't done
already).
Second, burn this on a dvd.
Third, in the bios menu of your computer, adjust the bootorder from hd
to dvd. (How you can acces your mobo's bios, is dependent on the
manufacturer. So that could be pressing F12, F8, etc....before booting)

And bob's your uncle. Your dvd-drive should be whirring about,
installing your fresh copy of Ubuntu.
Just follow the installer and that's it.
