[Ubuntu-be] Proposal to participate to "The Foire du Libre" on 06/04/2011 in Louvain-la-Neuve

Hi to all,

We received the following message from Aurelien (for the Louvain-li-Nux) 
about "The Foire du Libre" on Wed. 06/04/2011 in Louvain-la-Neuve.

Ubuntu-be has the possibility to participate with a booth and  have some 
time to give a conference.

We need to answer to the organization as soon as possible, for a good 
preparation and promotion of the event.

If a local team is constituted, Ubuntu-be.org can support and help the 
volunteers with hardware, decoration and promotion material.

Question: are there 3 volunteers willing to take part to this event ? 
(booth and eventually a conference/presentation)   Please answer quickly !

Dag allemaal, bonjour tout le monde, hallo jeder, hi everybody!

I can write this in this message in those languages, but for some practical
reason, I'll do it into English so I'm sure I get understood directly ;-)

I'm a member of a kot à projet in Louvain-la-Neuve, it's kot in which
students live together around a project. We are the Louvain-li-Nux
(www.louvainlinux.be) and we promote the free software through information,
support (helpdesk at the kot every Monday evening for every single problem
encountered), install parties, advices for the curious people (what to 
start
with, what for a special student need, etc.), conferences, games (geek
parties, free games lan, etc.).
Well, we are organizing the Foire du Libre, which aims to be a showcase of
the best from Free Software and Open Source in Belgium. That's why we 
though
about you, 'cause we are Ubuntu Fans (and mass installers ^^⁾. We've also
invited other prestigious organizations like Mozilla, OpenOffice, etc. 
but we
also concentrate on people and start ups who works in Belgium with Free
Software (Drupal services for example). So would you be interested to come
for free and present Ubuntu to the people, exchange with them, etc. ? If 
you
want, you can also have some time to give a conference.
The Foire du Libre will take place the 6th of April the whole day in
Louvain-la-Neuve, mainly in the "science part" of the town.

You would be kind to answer as quickly as possible for us to organize it 
the
best as we can (and manage the space needed, the time tables for the
conferences, the promotion, etc.)

This event could also be covered by some medias, such as the Podcast High
Tech Belgium, local TVs, etc.
