https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/DigitalWeek-2011

http://www.digitaleweek.be/activiteiten-2011/infodag-computerclub-monitor-niel-vzw
and on 05/03 in Schoten, see

numérique 2012.

d. Dipro Charleroi – 20/03/2011
Adrien and Sylvain are in contact to collaborate with local LUG's.
Volunteers, please add your names in the wiki :
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/ComputerFairs/Charleroi_2011-03-20
e. Monthly report Feb : we need a Fosdem 2011 report in the
BelgianTeam wiki.
2. Promotion
a. t-shirts - Update
Wouter is ready to order another 100 t-shirts, he waits the approval of
the treasurer. It is suggested to put the print a little higher.
b. Flyers 2011
Please look at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/PromotionMaterial/ProposalsFlyers2011 and
add your proposals/comments in the mailing list and in the wiki page. We
desperately need your ideas.
It is suggested to have flyers and rollout (next item) worked on in
unison so they align in style.
About design-rules (logos, colors, ...), see
http://design.canonical.com/brand/
c. Rollup
Several proposals are in the wiki page
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/PromotionMaterial/ProposalsRollup2011
Please add your suggestions/comments in the wiki and/or in the mailing list.
d. Other goodies (mugs, bags, pens, ... )
A wiki page
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/PromotionMaterial/ProposalsGoodies2011
is open for designs and details.
Beside the possibility to sale the goodies in Fosdem 2012, Dipro fairs
and other events, it is possible to set up an online-shop.
Although we can start with projects and designs, we have to examine the
implications (logistic, legal aspects, tax-office, volunteers, ...), as
Ubuntu-be has no status and is not authorized to do business. At the
other hand, are the volunteers for promoting Ubuntu willing to act as
sellers.
Question to the mailing list: is there interest for goodies (pens, bags,
mugs, ...) and the sale of goods in events like Fosdem, Dipro fairs,
release parties, ... ?
3. Update Wiki and Web-site
- Wiki: links about the review are
https/https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/Index,
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/Legacy (all the content from before
2010 (not yet with links)), and an overview of what was done is added at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/2011/FebruaryWikiCleanup.
A meeting is proposed by Wouter on 09/03. Further information will be
sent via the mailing list.
- Web-site: in a previous meeting, we pointed out that we need a page
promoting our actions/events. the aim is to show what we do, hoping that
new volunteers will join. No new proposals.
- Web-site - Support point manual
(http://ubuntu-be.org/en/content/513/support-point-manual) : a
translation of the manual in French is started, but we need a german
translation – who can translate the manual in German ?
4. Other questions
As we are considering more activities for Ubuntu-be, we should think
about more structure, legal and an evolution towards another form of
association (vzw/asbl). The issue will be discussed later in another
meeting.
5. Next IRC meeting on Thursday 10/03/2011 at 21.00 hr.
