I'm afraid you're wrong my friend:
the point is here, that openstandareds may be a warranty for a greater
interaction betweden different systems, (i recently talked about html in a
previous message, that's the right stuff erev invented for being interactive
no matter what's your o s).
I'm not planning to return to MS or whatever because some EU politics
decided to push again non open standards (in fact the problem with Microsoft
isn't that I have something against them, it's just the problem taht they
feel like being THE standard due to their superior presence on the market,
while a standard have IMHO to aim the goal of warranty for interaction no
matter the system you're using).

Conclusion:
by pushing openstandards wou'll reach the goal I describe above,
but by pushing MicroSoft or other non open standards you only make those
market position stronger so they are saying that they are the standard and
taht's of course absolutely different...
