To: LIST edubuntu users <edubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com>
The Edubuntu team is proud to announce version 7.10 of the Education
variant of the Ubuntu family of distributions.
Edubuntu 7.10 is based on Ubuntu 7.10, a Linux distribution for your
desktop or server, with a fast and easy install, regular releases,
a tight selection of excellent applications included, and an incredible
variety of add-on software available with a few clicks.
Edubuntu also bundles selected Education desktop applications, as well
as the latest the latest in LTSP thin client technology, allowing for
an easy install and set-up of a thin client network.
For feature highlights of Edubuntu 7.10, read our full announcement at:
http://www.edubuntu.org/news/7.10-release
Professional technical support is available from Canonical Limited and
hundreds of other companies around the world. For more information about
support, visit:
http://www.ubuntu.com/support
The Ubuntu 7.10 family will be supported for 18 months on both desktops
and servers. Users requiring a longer support lifetime on servers may
choose to continue using Edubuntu 6.06 LTS, with security support until
2011, rather than upgrade to or install 7.10.
