Dell didn't really give me any option. It was a X1300 or X1400...

I'm not the only one with an ATI graphics card of that generation...
It should simply work, at least in some basic mode, like it did before
Feisty and like it does with all other distro's I've had on this
machine so far.

An average computer user often doesn't even realize what a graphics
adapter really is or does, not to mention naming the brand or type of
it.

I don't have any problems with using proprietary drivers... I'm not a
Stallman-like freedom extremist, and I prefer decent performance over
a less performing but free driver.
