[Ubuntu-be] Ubuntero from Brussels

good evening Belgium! :-)

my name is Benjamin (aka bEN), and I'm using Ubuntu since 2004 (Warty).


My work: video editing and multimedia authoring (= interactive CD/DVD,
animations, Websites, ...).

After 5 years working around computers and "operating systems" (mostly
Windows), I was feeling a bit annoyed and tired about all that stuff...
always changing OS versions and finally never running fine or better...
always same stupid marketing attitude... always feeling not like a real
USER but like a CUSTOMER. I was ready near to switch my work... and I
discovered Debian.. and then I discovered Ubuntu... and then... Ok,
finally "the computer future" will surely be better with Ubuntu! :-)

So... I'm very convinced that Linux/BSD is the future, and I want to put
energy in it. And I'm in love with Ubuntu. 


== What I can do for Ubuntu(-be) ==

- help for public relations (mostly french/english) and press contacts
(I already helped with METRO publication, do you remember?). I can be
very persuasive and move in city or phone during the day if necessary.
- talk about Ubuntu around me (of course).
- I have some press contacts (La Libre Belgique/Le Soir/La Tribune de
Bruxelles) and some friends in television domain (RTBF/RTL/TeleBXL).
Probably it can helps a day (we have to talk about that).
- I have contacts with companies for CD's reproduction/duplication. I
can try to have some special prices and/or try to get sponsoring (free
duplication maybe?), if necessary. 
what else?
- I have a dedicated server (running on Debian). Can help?
- I'm using more and more CMS Made Simple (thanks to Ploum for good
advice).

I don't have a lot of time because I'm working like a freelance (it's
freedom! but it's difficult!) but I can be efficient for precise tasks.
