I'm very happy to have Java in official repositories. But I don't
think this is a solution for total newbies. Because of Java being
multiverse and multiverse not enabled by default and because it
requires software installation that's not pretty easy for total
newbies.
If a newbie guide needs software installation, this software should be
available through the "Add Application" and the bottom of the
"Application" menu. If it's not, this is too complicated for total
newbie.
