Hello everybody

This my first post so I should give you some context and introduce
myself but, as we need urgent asnwers, I will send my blablabla later.

I got no answer from private emails to Ploum (bonne m... for your exams,
Ploum!) so I hope Mark can answer quickly.

Let's go :

* 3 and maybe 4 members of our LUG LiLiT (http://lilit.be) are planning
to travel to Leuven tomorrow for the first "Ubuntu-be Hacking party".
Are we welcome ?

* what can we do? / why are we coming ?
** Frédéric has been testing the Dapper pre-releases, I guess he will
have some things to say.
** Emmanuel (https://launchpad.net/people/emmort) is also an Ubuntu
user. He would like a big "Ubuntu happening" to be set up, so I guess
he will be interested in speaking with Cedric J. Emmanuel can speak
Dutch.
** Serge (LiLiT's president) is a long-time Debian user. He has ideas to
share about Ubuntu CDs distribution in our area. He is also polyglot
(including German), coming from Luxembourg. But I'm not sure he can
make it tomorrow.
** I (Reginald aka snulkid) still do not use Ubuntu (but installed it
for a few friends) but will make the big jump with Dapper. I can
translate from English to French, as others, but I am far better at
reading French texts in search for misprints and spelling mistakes.
Just give me a try ;-)
** apart from working with you, we would like to meet Ubuntu-be people
IRL. Even if we already know some of them (mentioned on ubuntu-be
launchpad page or "frappr" map)...

* due to familial constraints of Emmanuel, we would be there from ~11 to
~15h (we have an appointment at 10h in Liege)

* LiLiT is totally distro-agnostic; so far, we would just come as
individuals (even if the whole board of LiLiT administrators could be
in Leuven tomorrow ;-)). But, even staying neutral, LiLiT has
opportunities for promoting Ubuntu : for example, each month (for 15
months now), we participate in a booth at the most successfull computer
fair of Liege area, the "MiHuy" (http://www.mihuy.be).

* I'm afraid we cannot help for the FR-be map so far, but LiLiT has good
connections with the other groups in Liege, the local students
federation, and many local associations; so at least, we can spread the
word of ubuntu-be.

* 2 LiLiT members are on UbuntuFrenchTranslators. May be we could plan
some "Belgian-specific help" (?) in that field.

Finally some questions about your "express CDs shipment" :

* I do not know what Mark means when speaking of "the entire ubuntu-be
community". As a LUG, are we entitled to get some of the 1000 CDs ? Or
do you need some official statement from us (and possibly other groups
from Liege) to increase the number of CDs in your final order ?
* Will you order only Ubuntu CDs, or do you plan to get Kubuntu CDs as
well ?

Regards
