For the webstie (fr side).
I don't like the idea to have too many pages linked from everywhere
(==tabs). Plus I don't like a "CD" pages. The user goal is to get
Ubunt,; not (to get) a CD. Getting a CD is one of the way to get
Ubuntu. That's way we have a "Acquérir Ubuntu" ("Get Ubuntu" in
french) page, where users are redirected to download, shipt-it and
support points.
We certainly need a "News" ("Actualités") page, but I don't see the
point to create one if we don't have someone in charge of keeping it
up-to-date (that's a lot of work) and a technical news system. Having
a not up to date news section is worst than not having a news section.
There have been discussion on the ML about using news mailing list
integrated into the website through gamen.org's RSS. I like this
solution, but it needs more works that using the news system provided
by CMS-MS. My feeling is that people who wil ltake care of the keeping
the news up to date should decide what's the best for them, either a
mailing list, or the CMS-Ms news-system or anything (that can be
integrated on the website).
I already put the "Mission Statements" from the Wiki to the "About us"
french page. I agree for the presence of a "contact" link (to the
bottom of the "About us" page on every page, but not as a tab (too
many tab is unintuitive and not user friendly) but somewhere in the
footer (as on many website).
